Meet Tori Hunter, Director, Writer, Script Supervisor

Victoria “Tori” Hunter, originally a competitive athlete from Chattanooga, TN, transitioned unexpectedly into filmmaking during college after playing softball. She gained experience in writing, directing, and script supervising, learning from prominent directors such as Alex Kendrick and Brian Herzlinger. Notable among her achievements is her script supervising role on the feature film “Overcomer.” Tori’s storytelling abilities were refined through her experiences, culminating in her directorial debut with “The Christmas Letter,” featuring renowned actors.

She aims to infuse her projects with the imaginative spirit of her inner child and the wisdom of her adult self, emphasizing the theme of hope in her narratives.

Meet Micah Lynn Hanson, Actor, Producer, Makeup Artist

Micah Lynn Hanson, initiated into acting at 16 in Coeur d’Alene, ID, has embraced her passion for performance wholeheartedly. With divine guidance, she has graced both stage and screen, embodying roles such as Belle and Wednesday Addams while also delving into film projects like “A Match Made At Christmas” and “Divine Influencer,” along with appearances in “CMT’s Nashville” and collaborations with the Kendrick Brothers on films like “Overcomer” and “Like Arrows.”

Currently based in Atlanta, GA, Micah learns from and collaborates with Shari Rigby and her non-profit, The Women In My World. She anticipates a future of storytelling, both on-screen and behind the scenes, rooted in faith and empowerment.

I first met Shari at the 2018 NRB conference in Nashville. Nobody knew me from anybody but I was immediately welcomed into The Women in My World and introduced to women in the industry who I’ve come to greatly admire and work with today! The heart to support one another did not go unnoticed and coming from the mainstream side of the business, I was truly impressed with the authenticity of this group.

Getting connected to the vision of creating creative opportunities for Christian women filmmakers has been life-changing for me. The generosity of spirit and resources in this talented mix has been a blessing and one that makes me desire to give back tenfold as I go on to produce film and tv.

I’m very grateful for the creative passion that Shari spreads and makes a way for others in TWIMW to participate, and I am happy to align myself and represent women in this industry with a likewise heart to serve.

Bio:

A producer at Fear Not Productions, JD creates bold entertainment to inspire audiences with real and relatable stories. Purpose-driven and known for her unique ability to secure high-value intellectual property through a wide network of creative artists, JD’s commitment is to operate collaboratively, with inclusion and integrity. Her latest TV series County Rescue premiered on Great American Media in February 2024 and is currently in pre-production of two films: Leaving Memphis (Jonathan Prince/director) and The Accused for BET+. JD is producing the feature film Beneath Charcoal Creek (America Young/director), the feature film Christmas Rodeo, co-pro with Holly Hines & Eric Jarboe, and a docuseries 13 Days in Ferguson (co-production w/Cedric the Entertainer).
